First Teaser and Posters for Live-action J-movie Adaptation of Popular Fantasy Samurai Manga Gintama

Not every adaptation is equal but it hurts even more for a beloved story to get stuck with a terrible live-action ┬áversion. Japan did an amazing job with the Rurouni Kenshin live-action movie series and now there’s another similar work coming in Summer of 2017 that looks promising so far thanks to a fan approved casting. The live-action Gintama (literal mean Silver Soul) movie based on the popular shonen manga stars Oguri Shun as the silver haired male lead Sakata Gintoki, Suda Masaki as bespectacled Shimura Shinpachi, and new actress Hashimoto Kanna as red-headed female lead Kagura. The supporting cast also has big names in the mix with Nagasawa Masami, Okada Masaki, Mura Tsuyoshi, Yagira Yuya, Yoshizawa Ryo, Nanao, and many more. I love the first batch of lead character posters and the teaser trailer mainly for how smexy Shun looks rocking the silver hair and the samurai intensity. Continue reading
