It’s Lunar New Year on February 19th this year, much later than the usual early February or late January dates during most years. That’s because the Lunar calender only has 30 days in every month so after a few years it gets so out of sync with the seasons and the Gregorian calendar that a month gets added back. That happened this year which is why Lunar New Year is towards the end of February when it’s starting to feel more like spring in some parts of the Northern hemisphere.
