Choi Woo Shik and Kim Da Mi Get a Jump Start on 2022 SBS Romance Drama That Year We Promotions with Chemistry Laden Cosmopolitan November Spread

Okay, 2022 in K-drama will definitely be off to a good start if this drama anchors January as one of the first arrivals. What did we do to deserve the drama gods casting two of Yeouido’s top young acting movie stars in the same drama, and reuniting them to boot. Choi Woo Shik and Kim Da Mi have been filming upcoming SBS drama That Year We (Us That Year) which I’m sure will get a less clunky English name hopefully sooner rather than later. They worked together previously on The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion and maybe clunky titles is their thing lol. All kidding aside, they are going from trying to kill each other in The Witch to being each other’s first high school loves to breaking up and then reuniting again as adults first professionally which of course means inevitably will come the re-romance part. This will be Choi Woo Shik’s first drama lead in 6 years since Ho Gu’s Love, and he’s been a busy busy boy in the interim conquering K-movies with a succession of hits from Train to Busan, Okja, Monstrum, Parasite, The Divine Fury, and Time to Hunt. I mean, c’mon, I legit did not even imagine his success when I first laid ones on his talented acting but cute boy next door looks in Rooftop Prince a decade ago. Ah the memories. This will be Kim Da Mi’s second drama after Itaewon Class which got her mixed reviews and made one wonder if she’s better suited for the big screen. Jury is still out but her acting ability remains potent and I’m just hoping this pairing will come with a great romantic love story to be worth their while. In the meantime, have this charming and so so cute pictorial courtesy of Cosmopolitan Korea November 2021 edition.
