You know how certain set ups just don’t work for some people? I can safely say the lonely career woman adopts a full grown male dancer pet construct in the upcoming You’re My Pet movie just doesn’t work for me. Doesn’t matter if it’s Jang Geun Seok this time instead of MatsuJun, or whether I think Kim Ha Neul can pull off a better performance than Koyuki.
It’s all just a little too out there. But this coming from me who loves manga weirdness most of the time, so I think I’ll just shush it now and let you all enjoy the first trailer for the movie. Hurray, Seok back on my screen! P.S. I can confirm the poster above is not photoshopped, as I watched the footage of the poster shoot where Kim Na Neul is in fact straddling Seok’s shoulders. Poor her, must be a very uncomfortable pose to hold for any period of time.

The trailer was too cute, despite the fact that I didn't understand anything. :P I watched the J-dorama and enjoyed it, but it definitely wasn't the best. Haven't read the manga though -- is it good?

The set-up doesn't work for me either. One of my roommates has been chomping at the bit for me to watch the J-dorama version ("It's MatsuJun! How can you say no to MatsuJuuuuuun?!" Very easily, I think.) but I think I'll pass on that but watch this one.

I think I may give this a shot. I couldn't get past ep 1 of the jdorama because the whole concept was a little weird and icky for me, but this teaser is so cute! And it's JGS, of course.
