F4 Records Lunar New Year Celebration Performance in Beijing

OMG, I seriously got misty-eyed watching this happen finally. Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Ken Zhu, and Vanness Wu arrived in Beijing over this week and headed straight to the stage for dress rehearsals prior to recording of the upcoming Jiang Su STV Lunar New Year extravaganza celebration. Their star power has only increased in the 5 years since they last sang together and the fans descended on Beijing airport to welcome their arrivals individually. Getting a sneak peak at their dress rehearsal and the actual show recording is like taking a time machine back to the early 00s when Meteor Garden exploded all over Asia and F4 was THE Chinese boyband to rule all boybands. Fans all over social media have been trending the following modern day nostalgia phrase 致我们逝去的青春，那些年我们疯狂追过的F4 (To the youth that has passed us by, the F4 that we so rabidly chased for so many years). Sigh, poignant and a reminder that time stops for no one but memories are a thing to be cherished. As another fan wrote 重回流星的时代，再年少疯狂一回 (Back to the Meteor days, let’s go crazy like our youth one more time). There is a rumor going around that F4 is just the appetizer, the real trump card of the show is the reunion of the Meteor Garden cast with the surprise appearance of Barbie Hsu! I don’t believe for a second, though she is married and living in Beijing, because I’m not sure her hubby will be fine with her onstage making eyes with her ex-boyfriend Zai Zai. Apparently they are performing for 20-minutes and you betcha I will be slurping up every moment of it. I’ve gathered all the pictures of them at the dress rehearsal and recording the actual show and it’s clear the chemistry is all there. Zai Zai and Vanness have actually kept in touch (Zai Zai guest rapped on one of Vanness’ singles for his last album), but its great to see Zai Zai and Jerry being so happy hanging out (Dao Ming Shi and Hua Zhe Lei FTW!). I seriously CANNOT WAIT. Also, the boys are deliciously handsome. Mmmmm, yes please can I have some more?
