Second New Preview for King Flower Episode 21

As the haze clears on King Flower as it limps towards its finale in episode 21, at least SETTV isn’t trying to mislead the audience with which direction the ending will go. Normally I collect all the previews and post it all at once but since its the last week might as well let the good times roll. I really will look back on this drama fondly now that it’s pretty much clear Da Hua is ending up with Terry (despite totally completely utterly being undeserving of him). The wonky last few episodes really put the brakes on what was otherwise a simmering emotional journey between heartbroken Terry learning to love again and country bumpkin Jin Da Hua having an extravagant adventure. I know in my heart of hearts that if this drama ends well with a really satisfying ending then I will forgive all its craptastic narrative detours. For once I don’t need to see a wedding, LOL. It really was some sort of record to get Chris Wu and Nikki Hsieh in four different engagement/wedding outfits, though Chris probably rocked the same tux four times. Heck I am totally not complaining, when a man looks that good wearing a tux, it’s a travesty not to put him in one as often as possible. I actually wasn’t a fan of any of the dresses Nikki wore but I wouldn’t mind seeing Da Hua and Terry in a casual beach wedding style outfit. I feel like their characters have so much fun together (when Lin Guan Jun in name or person is nowhere near them) and really their little sanctuary is Terry’s home where they can spend time playing the piano, drinking coffee, and following through with all the near-romantic stuff they’ve been teasing is us with but not following through on. Will I be able to forgive Da Hua for all her mental fail in the last few episodes if she makes the right decision in the right way at the end? That’s a hard question, and one I will have to wait and see.

Preview for episode 21:

“Will you be willing to let me be your bride again?”

Ah Xi: Da Hua, have you made up your mind – are you picking Terry or Guan Jun?

Da Hua’s voiceover: I’ve been thinking about a lot during this time. I’m going to Australia.

Guan Jun: Okay! Guan Jun oppa supports you!

Da Hua: Thank you, Guan Jun oppa!

Da Hua (hugging giant Grey Bear): I like you so much!

Da Hua’s voiceover: When I am not here, will you miss me? When I come back in one year, will you let me be your bride again?

  • Terry better play hard to get. That's the only way I am going to be satisfied. I haven't been able to bring myself to watch the last two episodes. Can't bear to look at stupid DH. Just reading your recaps, thank you!

    • I want to see Terry play hard to get too!! I also want to see the process of da hua falling for terry too! It's too late cause it's the last episode already... :( if only they didn't spend so many episodes on guan jun x da hua....

  • It looks like she already realized Terry is the one before she left for Australia. Hope we have some scenes of her pining and she hears news from her friend that Terry is being chased by many girls.

  • It also looks like Terry is on the plane to Australia. Oh no, I did want a little time gap. Terry needs to take some time out too. He is just too emotionally spent.

  • I love how Nikki is standing next to Chris in the first photo and has her arm around his and NOT standing next to James Wen hehe

  • Well, who knows who she'll pick. She likes that dumb bear too much and you know that bear represents GJ ge...hehehe.

  • It's just ridiculous the way GJ and DH interact. They both regress so much around each other. The way she says Xie Xie , GJG! ....makes me want to slap her. I want to kick that bear too. Sorry, she's just not good enough for Terry. I wanted Terry to get the girl and now that it looks like it...I still feel very dissatisfied.

  • Why leave if you are already asking to be with him?

Why am I so stupid to even ask this question? Even if I donate my brain cells to Da Hua it's not going to help. She is so lacking, nothing will make her better.

Except Terry. Darn it. She got him. She better coo and be nice to him. That's all I say, otherwise the whole collective audience will make her... go scrub the floors or something.

Fine. This show has won me over as a Chris Wu fan. I would follow his next drama. Pick a good one Chris. One where the girl actually CHOOSES you!!

    Got it?

    • Please, ck1Oz. Do not waste any of yoru brain cells on DH. It just would not be worth it. Scrubbing floors is too good for her. I mean, she gets Terry, so really she would have to do serious penance to make up for everything else to win that kind fo prize.

I don't want the next girl to "choose" Chris Wu; what "that" could turn out to be is some crazy person chasing him around and expecting him to be her lap dog. What I want him to get is a smart female lead. A smart woman would value him and herself. That is the relationship I want to see him in the next time. Oh yeah, I forgot, dramas cannot seem to keep their female leads smart until the end. Dear Drama writers, love does not have to make you stupid!

    • Aaaish. Even knowing that DH ends up with Terry is dissatisfying. The writers better contrive something good for this last episode...something that would make me forgive DH for her lack of brain cells. She must have been born with only a few hundred giant multipolar neurons as oppose to billions a normal person may have. So CK don't waste yours like Ms. Trotwood says. Even if you transplant more neurons on Da Hua, her brain would not know what to do. :) I must say thanks to KF and Chris Wu's portrayal of Terry that I am also looking forward to his next project. Nikki did great portraying two people (as in we have sympathy for one and hate the other) but sad to say the writer/s gave her a deficient Da Hua character that she can only do so much with it. Hope they get better script in their next project.

  • For what it's worth I don't think Terry will play the "hard to get" card, he simply isn't that kind of guy. It would defeat the purpose of his character if he were to go down that route. Terry is just Terry he is kind, loving and above all he has a big heart that keeps on forgiving Da Hua and that is why we love him:)

    • yes, it would be out of character. But some outside obstacles should keep DH from getting to Terry. She must work hard to win Terry.
BTW Chris Wu looks very Terry in that pic......dressed very conservative. What is JW wearing. He's usually so effortlessly sauve but ...he looks kind of funny in that outfit with the skinny belt. Guys, please dont' wear nipped at the waist belts unless you are a teen boy idol ....and that also a tall lanky one .

  • There's an ADORABLE video of Chris on the Jin Da Hua facebook page (admittedly, I don't understand) but it's hilarious.

It's criminal how hot that man is.

    • I saw the video n can't stop replaying it... Chris was really hilarious with his strange pitched voice. LOL but yeah... looking hot as always!

      • I love his little kissing sounds and when he starts singing Dream Girl. I've totally been watching it on loop :)

  • lmfao I feel like Xiao Fei should have been in the poster instead of the secretary. So sad, she didn't even prolly have more than an hour of airtime.
