Episode 14 of Who Are You was overwhelmingly boring, probably purposely so to set up the great reveal at the end when puppy Gun Woo finds hot comatose oppa Hyun Joon laying in some hospice. Tossing logic out the window, this was one twist that delivered the emotional punch, and actually threw uncertainty back into the narrative mix. Why was Hyun Joon saved? Why can’t he wake up? Does his ghostly self even know he’s just in a coma? Is this all tied to Si On somehow? And will we finally get an explanation, however far-fetched, for why she woke up from a coma and started seeing ghosts? I think it’s safe to say that she can only see ghosts that are tied to the case around Hyun Joon’s death, however tangentially. Or maybe it’s more like those ghosts go see her for that very reason, in solving what happened to them she’ll be one step closer to finding out what happened to Hyun Joon. I was also rather pleased to see Gun Woo mirror a lot of what Hyun Joon did for Si On, because I think his feelings for her are genuine and sweet and he just has the bat timing to be one step behind Hyun Joon in her life. At the end of this episode, Gun Woo gets shivved but manages to tell Si On that he’s seen Hyun Joon, before passing out. If Gun Woo falls into a coma like Hyun Joon, imma laugh my head off and snark that Si On is like kryptonite to a guy, fall for her and bam he’s guaranteed to be in a coma. If Gun Woo is in a coma, I want his soul to start wandering around too, just for the heck of it. WAY is still amusing for showing how just how incompetent Si On and Gun Woo are as cops, they totally deserve to work in the Lost Items Department forever and ever. But on the flip side, now that Hyun Joon still has a body and even if his soul isn’t back in it, at least there is now more conflict than Si On mourning a dead ex-boyfriend. I can’t wait to see how this drama wraps up next week. I’m swamped with work this morning so below is the picture recap only, but don’t worry, nothing interesting happened other than the resurrection of Hyun Joon oppa. Hallelujah to that!
This drama was apparently in talks with C-actor Ding Yu Xi before his just aired…
This year 2024 has been a slow year for K-actress Suzy in terms of her…
There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…
Well this is an interesting pairing, setting aside the age difference at least I can…
I swear I just wrote about Song Joong Ki having his first baby and then…
At the end of the day, the core of any good drama remains the Story,…

Lmao. Taecyeon is such a bad actor.
Yeah, he's his own unique brand of bad. I almost want to send him to a time out, but I like his character so much here. :-)
Even the screenshots make me laugh. I like the one where he is supposedly unconscious, but has his brow still furrowed in concentration.
He's his own brand of bad?? Mhahahhahaha that make my night!
So both ghostly drama (WAY & Master's Sun) used the resurrection theme. Now at least Si On does not have to be put to death in order to be with HJ. LOL Everyone must be relieved, although it is still unclear if Hyun Joon's soul will actually go back in his body (not out of the woods yet). Looking forward to watching this episode plot holes, bad acting, and all. :)
I wonder if this twist was part of the writer's original plan.
I am curious, too. They have to know that HJ is the most wildly popular character on the show, really the only interesting one. The romance that was supposed to happen between the other leads is DOA, plus they can't act (Taec seems to be going for the SSH/Dr. Jin Memorial Acting Award with oak leaf clusters). What's a writer to do?
I hope they don't do the whole 49 Days thing and have us cheer for Hyun Joon for him to be alive only for him to die AGAIN.
I'm snickering because the comments are so true. I had high hopes for this dramas but the plot holes make me facepalm.
i just love hyung joon and si on too much....it would be so great if someone would do a mv or a whole episode of just their cuts....
I wonder if KJW will finally get the girl???
*sigh* WHY is he so underrated???
This is demonstrably the episode with the worst acting from Taecyon and Si Hyun ever. I don't know whether to laugh or to cry. If we had cops like these two on the beat in my neighborhood I'd be seeing many dead people. Their undignified overacting is unbelievable. Si Hyun's histrionics are palpable and Taec - well, I don't even know where to begin. I no longer hold out any hope of seeing him improve. And what a nightmare it was to sit through that scene of the stabbing. I was watching with my jaw sweeping the floor under me and my entire being completely devoid of emotions from unadulterated shock that the scene even made the editors or directors cut.
Honestly the show is getting draggy. This is the only drama where I hope no one is together at the end.
Taecyeon can't really act he just can't emote well. SY is getting boring , always crying always thinking. The writer can do better than this
This episode was so weird. How could they have been both in a coma for so many years?! And as someone already said, I hope they did not give us hope with Hyun Joon and then kill him at the end. That would be utterly stupid.
