I think I’m going with my gut and checking out Miss Korea first this week. From all the promotional fodder, I’m loving everything from Miss Korea whereas You From Another Star leaves me rather cold and limp. I haven’t seen a set of drama posters I’ve loved in a long time as much as I loved the ones from Miss Korea, creativity while still infusing beauty and fun into the concept is a total win. Doesn’t hurt the cast is on fire and fairly leaping off the stills with their energy. Lee Sung Min has the cranky gruff ganpei ahjusshi down pat and Lee Seon Kyun‘s twinkle in the eye curls my toes with excitement. He’s such a sexy man, and I’m not just talking about his vaunted sexy timbre voice. His acting has this simmering understated vibe that packs a punch in the end. Lee Yeon Hee is so so lucky to have him as a co-star, and I am not joking when I say their chemistry is already front and center in the latest teaser for the drama below. I love me an underdog story and it’ll be fun rooting for a former high school queen bee to maybe find a better purpose in her life than just getting by as an elevator girl, not to mention rooting for a bunch of down-and-out failed cosmetic venture guys try and salvage their business by making a beauty queen. That this drama is coming from the production team of Pasta is a relief because that drama really understood how to write character interactions. Pasta faltered by not provide an engaging central conflict or purpose but here MK starts off by having a central purpose for all the leads to aspire to – to win Miss Korea. I’m feeling optimistic about Lee Yeon Hee’s performance because she seems really at ease in all the teasers, and I pray working with Lee Seon Kyun will flip the switch for her. She’s already got one advantage in her favor – she really is that gorgeous as to be believable as the next Miss Korea, and I think its awesome the drama acknowledges that she’s got the looks but none of the charm and winsome personality. I can’t wait for the personality makeover to start, and for the OTP to fall in love along the way. The 3rd teaser really is a hoot, and MBC also released a quick interview with Lee Yeon Hee that provides additional footage from the drama. Is it just me or the music in all the teasers absolutely outstanding? My ears and eyes are really happy.

I will definitely be checking this one out because I don't mind lee Yeon hee - I watched paradise ranch or whatever that was called twice! - and Lsk, will watch for him for sure and the premise sounds like fun. I will check out the other one too just to see cause I love my living together hijinks as well. I don't really care too much about posters. They don't sway me one way or the other. But a teaser or trailer can. Anyhow, I am in for this one. I hope it has some comedy in it. I need some good laughs this holiday season! :)
This one looks fantastic. I kinda love the retro-ness of the promos. Even the colours aren't over the top, all the while looking elegant and fun. Hopefully this will be as good as I expect it to be - or I'd be so disappointed.
I can't bring myself to like this girl. I don't know what it is. I don't even dislike her either.
It's weird because I don't have that feeling with other main SM actresses like Go Ara & Yoona.

I know what you mean ,she is beautiful but something about her is just cold and unrelatable. Go Ara and Yoona have that spark of likeability Lee Yeon Hee lacks.
Finally she can be her pretty self without making her ugly but not ugly for kdramas!
I love the unique concept, so the premiere is a definite must see. Plus, what girl wouldn't want to watch a girls transformation into beauty queen? This will be a guilty pleasure even if the writing falters.
If Tango is sex on a hardwood floor, then Mr Voice is sex in the flesh. I wonder how LYH can stay so composed when he's that near. You'll need a fire extinguisher with him just being in the same room, minding his own business, breathing....oh to be in the same room with him. I just need that one chance.

But I'm not hoping for a personality change for LYH. It's funnier if she stays like a gangster. Think of all the backstage drama and posturing between the other Miss Koreas!
Looks fun, although I will watch just because of The Voice. *sigh*
