I’m intrigued about but not wildly looking forward to the upcoming MBC weekend drama Hotel King like all the My Girl fans dying for the reunion of Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da Hae. Years ago I would have been, but my MG affection has waned since the drama really doesn’t hold up on rewatch with the wafer thin plot taking on utter flimsy angst by the end. I also find both Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da Hae in their thirties to be less engaging and endearing actors than earlier in their career. This is in contrast to, say, Kim Jae Won who I find is aging nicely both in terms of looks and acting depth and range. I do like that Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da Hae are heading to the weekend time slot to reunite, and in a revenge melodrama no less. It’s so different than MG as to make a nice clean break from their cute puppy and kittens chemistry there, plus it’s time they showed up more of their acting growth and a rom-com repeat would not cut it. Kim Jae Won has been really building up his resume these last few years in MBC weekend melos and the same lucky touch might hit Lee Da Hae and Lee Dong Wook. The first official stills from Hotel King are out and shows the two leads in character. Lee Da Hae is the daughter of Lee Duk Hwa‘s character who is the owner of the hotel where Lee Dong Wook works as the general manager, and against whom he is plotting his revenge. The first teaser is also out and shows Lee Dong Wook sitting in a big chair and then later standing in a shallow pool of water where Lee Duk Hwa is laying in a pool of blood.

Great need a kdrama
Ok ???
Am I the only one that gets reminded of chun song yi from Lee da hee's character?
"My Girl" was the series that got me hooked on Kdramas; I LOVED Lee Da Hae's animated face and spirited personality. However, these days I just can't get over how plasticky she looks, to the point that I don't think I'll be able to watch her for 50 hrs.
Why, Lee DaHae, did you have to change something that was already beautiful?
Actually that is not lee Duk Hwa in the water and our heroine is not his daughter in the drama.
There are 3 teasers out. LDH speaks English in one and acts crazy lloooool.
she looks like a freak now. *sad* I wanna watch it but her plastic surgery monster face looks too distracting. Nothing against ps if it's just minor Park Min Young & Lee Si Young)to slightly improve ones appearance, but she has gone overboard making her look like she's no longer human.
I totally agree with you.. She is getting to be like MJ no offense. Everytime I see her pictures she is a totally different person. I can't watch her dramas now.
Anybody know where I can watch the 2nd and 3rd Teaser? Viki has region blocking ;X
my be i'll watch it after Hongki's drama finished.
Da Hae's face O.o
what happened to her face omg!
