There’s been a steady stream of upcoming K-dramas that are fun to discuss which established or up-and-coming star would headline it. Sadly there isn’t a female-centric project coming up in sight which means Yoon Eun Hye will probably not be coming back to the small screen anytime soon. When I say female-centric it means the drama revolves around the female lead rather than the male lead or even equal time spent with both leads. Dramas such as Empress Ki, Goddess of Fire, Queen Seon Deok, Dong Yi, plenty of sageuks focus on a famous female character in Korean history. I’ve been pushing for Yoon Eun Hye to do a sageuk but she’s likely hesitant because of both the time commitment and mostly for the diction and articulation requirements that have always dogged her acting career even as she gets acclaim for her emotional expressiveness. Modern dramas tend to be rom-coms where both leads carry equal weight and perhaps there will be a thriller drama again like God’s Gift: 14 Days where the female lead is the focal point of the narrative driver.
I have no problems with Yoon Eun Hye playing second lead or even just doing a more narrative driven drama rather than being the center of the show, the problem really is her star power rather eclipses any project she takes so some of her fans may complain and thus overwhelm the experience. She seems quite happy during this downtime from acting, doing yet anther eye-catching lipstick CF magazine stills for High Cut magazine and focusing her attention on her Christian-themed cafe Jacob’s Ladder in Seoul. Yoon Eun Hye organized a celebrity charity auction this weekend called 7-by-7 Blessing where 7 of her celebrity friends Gong Yoo, Sooyoung, Gong Hyo Jin, Yoo Ah In and Han Chae Young auctioned off personal items with all proceeds to go to a charity supporting elders who live alone. As a gift for participants who attended, she designed a special all-use burlap tote bag and a coffee bean paper container that was given away as thank you presents. She tweeted pictures of both lovely designs as well as a bible verse “Matthew 5-7: Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy” in wishing for the people in the world and around her to find more happiness.

Isn't there a happy medium between starring in a female-driven drama and playing a second lead? Would her fans really take issue with her taking a role in a modern rom-com where both leads have equal weight? This kind of dramas pop up everywhere, all the time. I am confused.
That's what I came in here to ask too.
She's not the most naturally talented but she is a good actress and she always gives 100 percent to her roles even when the project is a disaster.
I would love to see her work with say, Lee Jun Ki in a drama, her star power would mean she wouldn't be relegated to just being a love interest like Joseon Gunman, and they have similarly earnest acting styles so it could work really well.
What is going on in that second High Cut pic? Look at the chest area? That is really bad photoshop .
Its not so much the chest area (its a high fashion magazine) that's a problem but its the elongated arm touching her ankle it looks super creepy.
Thought I saw something on dc inside about Yoon Eun Hye and Lee Jun Ki for Kill Me, Heal Me but maybe that was just wishful thinking of a fan?
I am so happy she found God. Praise God. Gong Yoo is one of her celebrity friends??? They are my favorite couple. I hope they would date someday. Would love to visit her cafe.
I'm glad Yoon Eun Hye rejected the role of ex-wife in 'Temptation'. That character was self-centered and kind of unlikable, and thus so unfitting her image in real life.
Although she hasn't been engaged in acting for awhile, one cannot say she's wasting her life. So, I'm still happy for her.
Yeah, I'd like to see her opposite Lee Jun Ki or Yoon Shi Yoon one day.
By the end of Temptation I thought that character was the lead in a daily drama since she gets tortured relentlessly by the other jerk characters but she forgives them and gave up her revenge...I mean until the last episode the other characters were being RIDICULOUS towards her...just nonsense
I didn't feel she was forgiving, because in her last conversation with ex-husband she asked him to never appear in front of her 'with that woman'. That means she was still holding resentment. (Geez, and that's knowing that 'that woman' was so sick). She should have learned from men surrounding her about forgiveness (her ex, dad and bro).
Plus, that constant expression of a great martyr on her face... I thought she was enjoying it.
I love her since I got hooked to korean drama. Very sincere and simple yet with class. So hard to find that in the entertainment industry.
She is so religious. She loves God so much. I like to visit her Cafe one day.
Wait ... what ? I am a Sooyoungster but I didn't know that she was one of her celebrity friends !! Is that true ? Gosh', I must have missed that O.O
Wow ww...charity with Gong Yoo???...happy that she always good relationship with her x-co star...(shipper "mode on"...hehehe).....YEH good looking and good personality
i know, right. i am happy too :)
Maybe nxt year yoon eun hye will have a good project, with a high ratings i hope.
Wow, YEH is looking so sexy in red lipstick. I really love and miss her since she will not be considering any acting offers at this moment. Jvst hope she would reunite with GY in a drama or movie. I really adore this coupke. Please let it happen.
