I haven’t been able to write anything substantive about the currently airing KBS Mon-Tues drama Healer since I’m traveling. I’m not just watching it, I’m totally loving it! That means I’m even more reluctant for the drama to end and Blood to arrive, aside from finding everything about Blood’s casting to be cringeworthy. Male lead Ahn Jae Hyun looks like a convincing vampire but doesn’t have anywhere near a solid male lead’s charisma and acting chops. That he going to have to be convincing playing a vampire and a oncology doctor is doubly absurd.
The first teaser is out for Blood despite the drama not airing until February. It started filming weeks ago with the two leads being flown to Romania for overseas shoots. Gu Hye Sun, with her super pale complexion, would also be convincing as a vampire except she’s playing a human doctor albeit one with a Paris Hilton-esque attitude. The first teaser made me laugh and not in a good way, shooting Twilight posing vibes left and right without any real emotional heft. This one is looking more and more like a pass other than as a potential A Man Called God type of lulz-watch.

Hmmm yeah I'm not feeling the lead actor factor either but maybe its hard to judge from such a short clip... Also no way did the production crew not know how similar to Twilight it seems.

What is this mess? I was hoping that like Kill Me Heal Me they will prove us wrong that it can be good but this is just laughable. Ahn Jae Hyun's onscreen presence as a lead is zero in this teaser and the Twilight comparisons does not make it anybody.

OMG So GLAD you also love Healer! In my opinion its way better than Pinnocchio and way underrated.
Park Min Young & Ji Chang Wook are nailing their characters and their chemistry is explosive.
I need to check out Healer, I'm only casually watching Valid Love which I'm really liking but have checked out on everything else.
Oh you really must check out Healer, it really is awesome, Episode 1 is intense but from then on it really is amazing, the OTP is smoking hot. all the characters are super. Need to spread the love of Healer around. :)
Totally agree with you about Healer being better than Pinocchio! I mean, I think it's a good drama or whatever, but Healer is so much more interesting and the chemistry is way better!
@mariechisoo Lol. ppl do love to compare their fav drama with pinocchio these days. Shows the popularity of the drama. I find pinocchio a tinch better bacause of the lightening speed of plot and amazing acting and the sizzling chemistry between otp. But i am also loving healer. Have watched till ep 5. not sold totally with park min young's acting. But the character is likable. And ji chang wook is an amazing find. I am just hoping it would continue travelling smoothly till the end of drama. I love hacker ajhumma.
may be it s so bad, it would be good. Just like Dr. Jin, it was so bad that it became a really good comedy.
