I love me some Cha Seung Won, can never get enough of this charismatic veteran leading man, but seeing only stills of him in the upcoming MBC long sageuk Splendid Politics (Hwajung) is starting to feel like a three legged stool missing two other legs. Where’s the other two leads Lee Yeon Hee and Kim Jae Won? Thankfully MBC heard my grumblings, or simply got its act together, whatever the reason we can now feast our eyes on more pretty from this drama as the first official drama stills are out for Lee Yeon Hee and Kim Jae Won.spen
Cha Seung Won plays the anti-hero Gwanghaegun (Yi Hon) while Lee Yeon Hee is his half-sister Princess Jungmyung. No love line there sadly. As lovely as Lee Yeon Hee looks in a royal hanbok, she’s not getting any love from Kim Jae Won’s character either. He plays Yi Jong, the future King Injo who ascends the throne after Gwanghaegun. He’s the nephew to both Gwanghaegun and Princess Jungmyung and in this particular drama will be the antagonist who plots to take the throne away from Gwanghaegun, and plots to off Princess Jungmyung for extra security. Oof, it’s going to hurt so good watching Kim Jae Won be a supreme baddie.

This drama is highly anticipated with casts. But I'm Never excited Lee yeon hee acting. She always got good roles because of SM
Tough i agree sm idols alwaya get roles despite their lacks in acting both go ara ans lyh is not an idols they are actresess who work hard to improve their acting and im among those who dislike abd critizised LYH acting before but improved tremendously ib Miss Korea. A very underrated gem of drama.
honestly...i dont eally like like lee yeon hee casting...even knezt still allergic toward her....i wonder if sm play fave..cuz go ara rarely got high profile drama with high profile cast while she is overall better actress....but lee yeon hee always got...honestly i want moon chaewon or baek jin hee as junmyung...but as expected from sm ;p
Both Lee yeon hee and Go ara are bad in acting. They're popular because of good productions that they featured in. I thought SM is powerful even in acting industry.

She is actually one of those actresses who looks best with less make-up... Watch One Fine Day, she was very natural and refreshing...
Since the LYH haters seem to be out in force, I'll stick up for her. I've only seen her in Miss Korea, and she was very solid in that. I've heard she was awful in her earlier works, but since she did such a good job in Miss Korea, I'm going to check this one out and see if her improvement has continued.
She is good in Class D category. Only people with low taste love her acting.
A tip for future reference: When you stoop to making broad personal insults about people you don't even know, it weakens your argument. You're perfectly entitled to consider LYH a poor actress, but to insult everyone who disagrees is unnecessary, and does neither you nor your opinion any credit. Look up "ad hominem", you might learn something. Maybe.

Sticking up for Lee Yeon Hee here too, even tho' I'm one of those who actively shun incapable idol actors and actors alike. She was exceptionally good in Miss Korea, and made me love her character.
Lee Yeon Hee was actually pretty good in Miss Korea. That was one unexpected gem of a drama. I wasn't a fan of LYH in her previous works but somehow she was quite endearing in that role. Let's hope she continues to show us the reformed version of herself here. Haha

I know she was not the best actress but she always won me over for some reason.
Anyone who says Lee Yeon Hee cannot act obviously did not watch her in Miss Korea - she killed that! I mean really killed it! It is one of my favorite all time female acting performances (and characters) in a Kdrama. Maybe there was a time she could not act, but that time is not now, and I fully believe she will be just as good in this. Yeon Hee-ssi fighting!
Lee Yeon Hee was actually good in Miss Korea, not just "for an SM idol" lowered standards of good, but by a standard for any actor she was great.
Let's see if she keeps that up now. SM obviously likes to promote its SM ent idols and actresses more than its SM C&C actors so at least if LYH is good it's less frustrating.
