MBC is being nice and friendly with upcoming Wed-Thurs drama Warm and Cozy, releasing the first stills of Yoo Yeon Seok in character as the male lead and BTS stills with leading lady Kang Sora. I may not have gotten the Yoo Yeon Seok appeal yet since I skipped Answer Me 1994, I do believe he’s a truly talented actor since I watched him over a decade ago as the younger Yoo Ji Tae in Oldboy. So it’s not a doubt in talent that I’m indifferent to his casting in this drama, which may end up turning me into a fan if he delivers the typical Hong sisters leading man scene stealing shtick.
It almost always is the leading man character who ends up being more memorable in a Hong sisters drama, and at best the leading lady isn’t disliked for being too stupid or too noble idiot. In Warm and Cozy, Yoo Yeon Seok will be playing a restaurant chef who runs a restaurant in Jeju, armed with what appears to be a chic fashion sense and sporting reddish tinted hair that looks nice on him. There isn’t much more to take away from these first solo still of Yoo Yeon Seok, but the BTS set where he holds up the drama script beside leading lady Kang Sora convince me they’ll definitely look lovely together onscreen.

His hair is not reddish, that's just the lighting otherwise his hair would have looked really red in the pics where he's out in the sun. Anyway, I never found him attractive, but he looks pretty damn good here and I witnessed his talent before, so I'm definitely gonna give it a try, even though I don't like the lead lady's acting that much.

Wow. Actually, they practically look like they could be related. And I guess that does really make them look lovely together. Other than Oldboy, I don't think I've ever even watched anything with Yoo Yeon Seok, so this will be my first. I hope he is as good as everyone says he is! I do like Kang Sora for sure, so I can't wait!
