I can’t believe KBS drama Producer is premiering next Friday already. I’ve liked (though not quite love) all the promos so far for the drama, introducing all four leads equally in a peppy way. Starring Cha Tae Hyun, Gong Hyo Jin, Kim Soo Hyun, and IU, the arrival of Producer turns the Friday night time slot into a real slug fest as tvN also premieres the new season of popular variety show Three Meals a Day with Lee Seo Jin.
Maybe Producer can emphasize its best of both world’s combo – it’s a drama and a variety show wrapped into one. The drama revolves around PDs running various variety programs in the KBS studio, with IU as the lone non-PD as she plays a top idol singer. The network released a preview of the first episode and it doesn’t stray from the expected, the camera follows the characters as they prepare, confer, and execute various variety shows. The four leads are bringing the charisma and intensity right off the bat so thumbs up for that.

I don't know. I am not getting anything from this. good or bad.
same here… i don't know what to feel… i don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing…oh well, just gotta wait n see
anyone else feel like a lot of dramas are trying to add a misaeng vibe to it nowadays. like its so popular in korea theyre adding like cast and quotes and feels of the drama to new dramas.i know its cliche but with the suits and everyhing im reminded of misaeng, plus kim soo hyuns character being new reminds me of a more upbeat goofy jang gerea. anyway looking forward to it, hope it leads up to expectations.
Suits have been around in the dramaland since forever, its just most memorable in Misaeng. Although I do get what you're saying about getting the Jang Gu rae vibe from KSH's character, cuz I felt it in this recent teaser as well while playing it a few times.
Not sure about your other comments, I didn't catch Misaeng's promos so you could be right.
But about KSH's character, it's actually more similar to his Samdong from Dream High. I think you just remember Jang Geu Rae because he was more recent.
Re: the teaser itself, it looked... bland? I liked the first one better. The one on the bus where they're all interacting. Hope we get more of that in the actual show.
so far from the preview alone, i think i m liking Warm and Cozy better.
Seems ok to me. Not terribly excited by the cast.
I think it'll be good, but I don't see anything too original about it. Expectations are probably a bit high all around.
i love the teaser so much. i am impressed will all different color shown by the casts. but i hope they show more of iu character development. she looks really out of place and i cannot see the cold ice princess there.
This drama really looks smash to me. I'm excited to say the least, but KSH's adorkable bumbbly character is just my kinda guy. It feels a little overhyped but I can admit to feeling very very positive about it's outcome. I don't care for original; just give me lots of fun and I'll be happy.
I don't feel anything about the teasers. But I still waiting the first episode.
I think I get it, It's going to be a drama with a ''The Office'' feel to it, like the actors are playing real people that are shooting a documentary about their work. Or like Modern Family about a Family that are shooting a documentary about their Family, a false reality drama.
It's cool and a fresh concept for Korean Drama as far as I know.
It seems a lot of fun and funny. I'll follow up and watch definitely. Hopefully it's not just a hype.
