The Leads of High Society Continue to Bring the Pretty Youthful Energy in Latest Preview and Stills

This probably doesn’t bode well on the quality predictor scale that I’m this excited about upcoming SBS Mon-Tues drama High Society (formerly Chaebol’s Daughter and briefly flirted with being called True Romance). And then I realize that plenty of dramas I’ve loved have been less than stellar fare but simply delivered a stirring romance. With that fallback option available, I can happily continue anticipating High Society, with the new preview and drama stills upping the visual quotient for me. While I initially came for male leads Sung Joon and Park Hyung Sik, both of whom are so knee weakening in the way the drama has styled them, especially Hyung Sik’s really sexy hair style.

I’m also surprised at how much I’m liking female leads UEE and Lim Ji Yeon‘s whole look here, with Lim Ji Yeom being the bigger surprise since I’ve associated her with being an wet mop with no charisma yet she’s super adorable in the character still and the brief peek in the latest preview. UEE is actually the male Sung Joon in many ways, can play good or bad (bitchy) and is best when playing characters that balance the two sides deftly. Another bit of good news is one of my fave older actresses Goo Doo Shim playing UEE’s chaebol mommy, and in nice shout out to the drama production’s last work One Warm Word, Lee Sang Woo will be making a cameo appearance in High Society. Nice.
