Kim Ah Joong and Ryu Jun Yeol Join Jung Woo Sung and Jo In Sung in K-movie The King

Casting is complete for upcoming Korean movie The King, and it’s certainly a royal cast of established stars and latest It finds. The movie have two leading men in Jung Woo Sung and Jo In Sung, either of which can and has headlined plenty of movies on their own star power. But that seems to be the trend these days, witness recent K-movie A Violent Prosecutor which paired up Hwang Jung Min with, with trend feeling a bit like producers are doubling down to lower any flop potential. The King adds to the two leading men combo with Kim Ah Joong playing Jo In Sung’s wife (in a role that Im Soo Jung passed on) and Ryu Jun Yeol as his hoobae. The movie will be directed by Han Jae Rim who did The Face Reader, The Show Must Go On, and Rules of Dating

The King is about an power hungry prosecutor who continually seeks power, using the other prosecutors around him as well as his gangster friend. Jung Woo Sung is almost exclusively a movie star but this will be Jo In Sung’s first movie since A Frozen Flower in 2009 which he did prior to his military service.
