Bromance Magnet Ji Soo Visits Yoo Ah In and Byun Yo Han on the Set of Six Flying Dragons

Ji Soo is basically turning into not only a hot rising actor, he’s also racking up K-ent bromances onscreen and offscreen at a meteoric pace. First there was Angry Mom followed by Sassy Go Go, in both dramas he’s got a bromance thing going on, in AM with Ji Hyun Woo and later with Lee Won Geun in SGG. Next is bring part of the largest assemblage of K-drama bromance ever in the adaptation of Bu Bu Jing Xin (Bobogyungsim: Ryeo) with Lee Jun Ki, Kang Ha Neul, Baekhyun, Hong Jong Hyun, and Nam Joo Hyuk. He’s even attended the movie premiere for Kang Ha Neul’s new movie alongside Nam Joo Hyuk. One would think that’s more than enough bromance to handle but he keeps chugging along, this weekend visiting Yoo Ah In and Byun Yo Han on the set of their SBS Mon-Tues drama Six Flying Dragons. Check out the adorbs selfies galore posted afterwards.

  • I love this circle! With Ryu Jun Yeol, Lee Dong Hwi, Suho, Nam Joo Hyuk, Kang Ha Neul and everyone else, I would really love to be in this squad if I'm a boy. Lol. They're bunch of good actors and seemed really fun.

  • Does anyone here watch SFD? What do you think? I heard so many good comments about this, but I'm still reluctant to watch it. The writer also wrote tree with deep roots and queen seon duk which is not the kind of sageuk that I like. My type of sageuk would be like for ex.: dae jang geum, the princess' man, dong yi. So, I was wondering if this one has the same vibe as TWDR?

    • I highly recommend watching it! The show is simply amazing! Really it is, I marathoned this baby just last week because I'm not that into sageuks- but this one's freaking good.

    • It's very good. It's the first lengthy sageuk I've watched. It's very fast-paced and the writer is very good at opening and closing conflicts in every episode. The acting is superb. The cinematography is also very stunning (I love the sword fight scenes so so much!). There's no or little romance but everything else makes up for it.
      Highly recommend!
      :)

    • The drama is boring starting with incomprehensibly complicated ancient K court politics and plots. Besides, the English subtitles are weird. It's similar to tree with deep roots in many aspects. I patiently yawned through the first few episodes and eventually dropped. Ironically, this was the most anticipated sageuk in my to-watch list last year because I'm a huge fan of Yoo Ah In. Just my personal preference and opinions. Well, if you are the one for endless, long-winded, and tedious court politics, then you may end up liking SFD. But not for me though. Imo, SFD is apparently very different from those of your faves you mentioned.

    • I was later drawn to C- historical drama, Nirvana in Fire that equally has no much romance. NiF is epic in everything in terms of drama production, plots, cast, cinematography, and BGM, which has the same level as film production in many aspects. I've been a K drama freak for years, specifically a huge fan for Sageuk. I rarely watched C-dramas. But NiF opened my eyes for C historical drama and later on I found many really fun to watch. Imo, NiF outperformed all the K sageuk I've watched so far. You should give NiF a shot if you haven't.

      • Thank you all for the comments. @drama2016, I've seen NIF, I like it a lot, although I must admit in the beginning it's a bit difficult for me to follow. If this one is similar in many aspects with TWDR,I guess I have to pass it, not my cup of tea.

  • I'm curious as to why Ji Soo is so close to YAI and BYH? Were they in any projects together or from same company?
When Angry Mom was shown, many ppl feel that Ji Soo gave off the "young Yoo Ah In" vibe. Then now to know that they are indeed friends in real life ???

    • Ji Soo and BYH were in Glory Days (a film which also stars Ryu Jun Yeol, Suho and all 4 of them together with Lee Dong-hwi and a few more indie actors are very close in real life). As for JS and YAI, I think they've become friends through BYH.

  • SFD is pretty awesome! Not for one to watch sagueks too but I love the cast a lot. Plus the direction is great, cinematography is amazing, acting? Bloody brilliantly. Lol
