Bromance and Intensity at the Script Reading for SBS Sageuk Jackpot

The drama hasn’t even aired yet and already the bromance has brewed offscreen. That’s good since the two male leads will be direct antagonists in upcoming SBS sageuk Jackpot, better like each other during filming and then ratchet up the acting animosity when cameras roll. SBS kinda did the roll out a bit backwards with Jackpot, it dropped the first teaser trailer after Tuesday’s episode of Six Flying Dragons, and then released the script reading stills a few days later.

There’s a whole lot to take in from the script reading stills – long hair loving Jang Geun Seok ought to feel right at home with a sageuk appearance and is looking more and more like actor Jang again, Yeo Jin Gu continues to grow up so handsomely and with such intensity, and leading lady Lim Ji Yeon was wonderful in High Society but I remain worried until I see her convince me once I see her onscreen in a drama sageuk. Jackpot is being penned by the screenwriter of Warrior Baek Dong Soo and the two elder statesmen from that drama Choi Min Soo and Jeon Kwang Ryul will also be reuniting here.
