The Rest of the Leads of MBC Drama Monster Make Official Drama Stills Debut

With main lead Kang Ji Hwan out of the bag for upcoming MBC drama Monster (Tyrant), it’s nice of the production to keep up the trickle of goodies to hopefully maintain momentum. The drama is airing on Mon-Tues after Glamorous Temptation wraps up so won’t be landing in the crowded competitive time slot that is Wed-Thurs where Descendants of the Sun is on a runaway train lead. Monster will be competing with the Jang Geun Seok and Yeo Jin Gu drama Jackpot (Daebak), making it extra coincidental since the last time Jang Geun Seok was in sageuk garb was opposite Kang Ji Hwan and Sung Yuri in Hong Gil Dong. Monster may not be charting that high on the buzz meter but it ought to fall into the slow and steady bucket anyways since it’s a long 50-episode epic with a long teenage portion before the adults show up. In addition to Kang Ji Hwan and Sung Yuri, the drama quickly scooped up just out of the army Park Ki Woong as the second male lead and Soo Hyun (Claudia Kim) as the second female lead.
