Song Joong Ki is grinning like a cat got cream in the cover for the latest OST release from Descendants of the Sun and I can’t say I blame him. In addition to the phenomenal domestic ratings and record breaking Chinese viewership for the KBS drama, the songs from the official soundtrack have been released one after another as major hits. With K.Will‘s single “Talk Love” (Say It! What Are You Doing) dropping today as the 6th track from the OST (and my personal favorite), the top six digital downloads on Melon promptly were taken all by DotS soundtrack songs. Six for six all kill.
There are reportedly ten songs total from the OST so four more left to come and it’s not impossible to imagine the entire drama soundtrack taking the top ten of digital download tracking once it’s all released. So far it’s been a who’s who of famous K-drama OST contributors and the next track is supposed to be from Kim Junsu. I’m guessing a soulful ballad, maybe just the thing to get Mo Yeon in the mood to take an extra step forward with Shi Jin. I’m a bit surprised to see Baek Ji Young not doing a DotS track but maybe that’s a good thing since “That Women” still reverberates around my brain from time to time, plus Yoon Mirae and Davichi have tracks so that covers the lady ballad genre.
The OST soundtrack so far includes:
Yoon Mirae “Always”
Chen featuring Punch “Everytime”
Gummy “You Are My Everything”
Davichi “This Love”
Kim Na Young featuring Mad Cloud “Once Again”
K. Will “Talk Love”
K. Will “Talk Love”:
There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…
Well this is an interesting pairing, setting aside the age difference at least I can…
I swear I just wrote about Song Joong Ki having his first baby and then…
At the end of the day, the core of any good drama remains the Story,…
If I didn't know this drama was a romance set in space and done K-drama…
If Wang Xing Yue ever needs extra money he can be a professional dubber for…

Right now I'm obsessed with Kim Na Young featuring Mad Cloud “Once Again.” Her voice convey so much emotion. The other are awesome, can't wait for the rest of the OST.
This track sounded so eerily like Hucillunation by Jang In Na from Kill Me Heal Me. I double backed just to confirmed its a separate song.
That's my favorite song too. The instrumentals are simply brilliant.
+1000000000
Wasn't "You Are My Everything" in another one of this writer's dramas? Was it Heirs? Oh wait, am I thinking of YFAS? I know I've heard someone singing that chorus a hundred times in another show. (I know it's not the same exact song, but it's the only song I really can't stand and naturally, in that show as well as this one, they play it a lot.) "Always" is so much better!
I think you are getting confused with Lyn's You are my destiny.
lol You're totally right! Oh well, it's been a while.
All the songs are sooo so so good <3
I'm surprised BJY hasn't done an OST for it yet too. *fingers crossed I love her voice
She actually just did "Goodbye" for the Goodbye Mr. Black OST. It's pretty good!
she did for GMB. but the song isnt in top 20. but i love that song too. Ailee's song for Ajjussi is pretty good too.
I am loving all the OST. And from DotS fans over at their official soompi, apparently Baek Ji young will sing an ost.
Reply 1988 dominated the OST chart too, but not to this extent. This drama is really slashing everything. To have all 6 OSTs in the top 6 on Melon is amazing. I really love the new K. Will song.
Reply was a cable drama, it was hugely popular but DOTS has a wider reach as it airs on public broadcast so it's naturally even more popular
The next ost should be from Kim Junsu...It was played as the song chosen from Moyeon to be played before her "confession"....
I thought that might be it!
Awesome!!!
Next OSTs are comfimed to sung by
JYJ Junsu
SG Wannabe
Lyn
M.C. The max
10 ost for the top ten in the chart for certain <3
Kim Junsu's song was uploaded in Facebook yesterday and was able to watch part of the video in my fb account. The angelic voice of Xiah baby! So poignant, love it so much!
