I love tasteful sexiness and the newest big names celebrity fashion campaign hits both notes for me. Japanese pop queen Hamasaki Ayumi is the new face of famed Italian lingerie brand La Perla for a collection tailored for Japanese tastes. Ayu has been the face of Japanese pop fashion for nearly twenty years now so this pairing is both logical and maximizes the potential in both to wow. The top picture is my favorite and the one released first to whet the appetite for the full pictorial, the lace blindfold and Ayu’s gorgeous hands draw the eyes to her expression of sensuality with hidden restraint. The rest of the ad campaign is just as visually evocative without any crossing the line into slutty. It also doesn’t hurt for the 37 year old Ayu to memorialize her crazy petite curves in pictures she can reminisce about years later, and in the prettiest lingerie around.
