Dreamy Character Posters for Mirror of the Witch Set the Mood for an Otherworldly Tale

Fantasy tinged sageuk drama Mirror of the Witch (Witch Exemplar) is certainly setting the right visual tone with the first set of character posters. The layout isn’t innovative but the color tones and expressiveness of each actor brings the mood to life, making me anticipate a melancholy and otherworldy feel for the drama. Kim Sae Ron shines as the titular witch while Yoon Si Yoon‘s first sageuk role has me salivating even if his features aren’t shone to the best advantage in Joseon styling. Kwak Si Yang as the warrior archer is on point other than every sageuk nowadays throws in the same second male lead type. Last time I watched Lee Sung Jae in a sageuk was Gu Family Book where I wanted to fillet him alive so hopefully the talented veterans gets a nice guy role, leaving the scheming to the beautifully Yeom Jung Ah as the older witch who sets the story in motion.
