Lucky Romance Plays Up the Goofball Antics in Colorful Drama Posters

It’ll be interesting to see if viewers respond well to MBC drama Lucky Romance and bestow luck on both the drama and the ratings-challenged rom-com genre in general. The drama posters arrived in a splash of yellow themed playful exaggerated fun, with the couple posters featuring leads Hwang Jung Eum and Ryu Jun Yeol in various interactions playing up his reticence and her pleading with him or holding him hostage for a lucky change in her fate.

My favorite is the canary group poster where Hwang Jung Eum stands out in a dress of blue and red like the oddball she’s going to be in the drama with her extreme belief in fortune telling. Lee Soo Hyuk and Lee Chung Ah are looking as adorable as can be hoped for of second leads, and here’s to hoping neither goes off the crazy rocker as the drama progresses and has interesting purpose in the story. Ryu Jun Yeol is the unknown for me, I loved his big splashy hit making performance in Answer Me 1988 but want to reserve judgment for his big step up to prime time drama leading man.
