Intense Posters and Stills for SBS Wed-Thurs Drama Wanted Heightens Expectations

I’m not sure good hair is supposed to be my first takeaway from the promos for upcoming SBS Wed-Thurs drama Wanted, but for first impressions it’s certainly not a negative one other than it’s likely not what this thriller drama is trying to convey. While the other SBS drama premiering this week, namely Doctors on Mon-Tues, is garnering more buzz, seasoned drama viewers know not to predict too broadly and never discount the audience’s love for dramas that appeal to universal instincts such as a mother’s love for her child.

Wanted stars Kim Ah Joong, looking glorious with the soft face-framing slightly mussy bob, as a star who has her child kidnapped and must complete a reality show for the rescue. Her aides come in Ji Hyun Woo, so hot with the intense detective vibe paired with the slicked back hair, and Uhm Tae Woong as the reality show PD, rocking the buzz cut. It may be SBS’s attempt to re-do God’s Gift: 14 Days, and whether it succeeds will depend on this script by newbie writer Han Ji Wan. I like the cast so will check it out but please keep the intelligence level above water and not resort to police idiocy to let the villain repeatedly get away.
