Lee Jong Seok Celebrates Birthday on Final Episode Airing of W and Donates Money to Fan Charity Campaign

It’s a job well done for Lee Jong Seok as he finished his K-drama W: Two Worlds and celebrated his 27th birthday on the same day. He actually turned 28 in Korean age on his birthday of September 14th, which also makes it a year closer to when he’ll need to check in for military service. There are still the ’87ers who need to ship off so Lee Jong Seok still has plenty of time to pick interesting projects and hone his acting craft, and I think he accomplished both with W.

That the writing got away from him and made his character less and less interesting to me as the story progressed is not on his performance, and for now his Pinocchio turn remains my favorite character and acting output from him. In addition to the successful conclusion of W, Lee Jong Seok also took time to donate to a fan led charity campaign – in lieu of getting him birthday presents, his fans were donating 9,140 won to help in need children pay for surgeries and when Lee Jong Seok found out he donated 9.14 million won to the same campaign. Kudos to both star and fans!

  • Good on him and his fans. He looks much healthier now a days. And his nose no longer looks like an alien proboscus when he was so emaciated.

Glad to see him looking well and doing well as well as doing good.

  • I hear your voice still remains my favorite of his dramas. Perhaps against the majority of drama fans, Pinocchio didn't appear so appealing to me. I actually put it on the back burner for a while until I finally decided to wrap up the series for LJS' sake. Pinocchio preaches too much and turns very boring midway through. The story isn't up my alley. Just my personal preference.

  • kudos for him and his fans indeed!! <3 :)
with every new project he shows more and moree of his talent and he made an mindblowing job in W!! can't wait to see his upcoming projects!! wish him all happiness and success!! <3 <3 <3 :D

  • Good on LJS and his fans for their generosity and compassion! It is very big hearted of them all to remember the needy sick children on LJS's birthday. Happy Belated Birthday LJS!!!

LJS is a very talented actor, his charisma fills the screen. He is still young and I feel he will go much further in honing on his acting skills in the coming years. Loved all of his works and is awaiting for more exciting projects from him in the near future.
