Joseon Magistrate Lee Min Ho Crosses Paths with Mermaid Jeon Ji Hyun in Legend of the Blue Sea Stills

I never expected a mermaid themed K-drama could be so enthrall me to the point of avid anticipation. I chalk it up to Jeon Ji Hyun, she’s beautiful enough to portray a fantasy mermaid of lore, and has the indelible screen presence to sell a character grounded in extreme possibility. New stills are out for the leads of Legend of the Blue Sea, this time Jeon Ji Hyun is in mermaid form I presume while Lee Min Ho is Joseon magistrate Dam Ryung in the previous life rather than modern day conman Heo Joon Jae. This is Lee Min Ho’s first Joseon role since he was a Goryeo warrior in his other sageuk Faith, and of course this is Jeon Ji Hyun’s first take on being a mermaid. Visually they are an insanely good looking match up, I just hope the pretty translates into intense romantic chemistry.
