The first big entertainment news of 2017 is here and happily it’s a joyous one. HK-actress turned director Charlie Yeung has confirmed the recent speculations that she is expecting her first child with her Singaporean husband of three years Khoo Shao Tze. The 42-year old star has been a HK entertainment staple for over two decades ever since her debut in Ashes of Time and then the popular The Lovers adaptation of the traditional Chinese romance folklore of the Butterfly Lovers. In recent years Charlie has become a critically acclaimed director despite her early start as just a pretty face actress. Congrats to Charlie and happy that she’s finally taking the next step in becoming a mommy after her two best friends Gigi Leung and Angelica Lee have all become moms in recent years. Another baby bump watch to add to the already jam packed crowd of Taiwanese and Mainland Chinese expectant stars.

So many beautiful actresses from Taiwan - is this just sample bias or are Taiwanese women considered especially beautiful amongst the Chinese speaking peoples? IIRC even Jeon Ji Hyun's parents were reportedly Taiwanese, right?
Charlie and Gigi are from Hong Kong. Angelica is from Malaysia.
She was born in Taiwan; HK actresses are also gorgeous, of course
One of my parents is Taiwanese but I don't consider myself beautiful lol.
Many Taiwanese people are ethnically Chinese so it might just be sample bias (ie if they are actresses, they are most likely beautiful).
Ariel Lin <3
I was a big fan of hers in the 90's! Wishing her the best.
