A major selling point for the upcoming SBS remake of hit movie My Sassy Girl has got to be male lead Joo Won, in contrast to how the female lead Jeon Ji Hyun was the scene-stealer in the movie version. I adore comedic Oh Yeon Seo after her own drama scene-stealing turn in Please Come Back Ahjusshi but My Sassy Girl the drama was sold on the premiere of sageuk Joo Won and I’m expecting him to bring it and validate the existence of this story being turned in drama form and placed in the Joseon era. Filming wrapped this week as the cast and crew attended the wrap party, making this pre-produced drama ready for airing in the June Mon-Tues slot after Whisper. Can’t wait for the previews and drama stills to start coming out soon, until then have some sneak peeks.

Its Mon-Tue timeslot.
2017 is going to be a very good year for Oh Yeon So. And I'm looking forward to seeing her work!
meh... still annoyed with the whole casting fiasco. not watching
Does SBS have high expectation of this? I can't muster any excitement for this despite loving Oh Yeon So in Come Back Ahjussi and this being the first saeguk for Joo Won. I mean, how exciting can the story be? Maybe my imagination isn't working. I rather watch them both in a serious saeguk. They look wonderful in saeguk wear and are competent actors.
Not too sure about the remake of My Sassy Girl especially with the mess of the leading lady casting. Nevertheless, will still try watching it for Joo Won and Oh Yeon Seo. Both are good actors, so really hope the drama works.
