K-actor Gong Yoo‘s high flying popularity in the past year is coming to the big international stage as his agency revealed the star recently sat down for a CNN interview. It’s no surprise and totally deserved recognition as his movie Train to Busan was the top grossing movie in South Korea in 2016, and his drama Goblin broke records as the all time top rated K-drama on cable network. If rating were converted for paying cable versus free prime time networks, it will be interesting to see which of screenwriter Kim Eun Sook‘s two 2016 dramas got more viewers Goblin or Descendants of the Sun. I can’t wait to check out Gong Yoo’s CNN interview, and as a teaser have these recently released behind-the-scenes cuts of Gong Yoo on set filming his water purifier CF. Even a prickly cat is a docile kitty in front of the charm that is Gong Yoo.

Gong Yoo and Cat... I'm fainting.... so cuteeeee
meow!!!
I wish I am the cat ♡♡♡♡♡♡
Yet... he hasn't won an acting award with those hits?
He doesn't really have a lot of leading roles in movies tbh. His role in Dogani was the most award-circuit-friendly one but I think the company didn't really lobby for acting awards.
That's great about the interview -- as long as they don't call him Yoo Gong.
Will this be on CNN international? Also any idea when it might air?
Yup, it's CNN international , it'll be in the end of April but we don't know the exact date
Loved him in Goblin.
