I have yet to see Kim Soo Hyun get dark and dirty in any role but this may be the turning point in upcoming summer movie Real. He’s done action in Secretly, Greatly, and even in Thieves or You From Another Star there was physicality involved. But he’s always been the good guy or the underdog we root for, and the next challenge is to play a baddie and make us love to hate him. The just released official movie posters for Real juxtapose the chiseled good looks of Kim Soo Hyun with a mid-fight moment and in quiet contemplation. The saturated colors pop vibrantly and most importantly I get this visceral vibe from Kim Soo Hyun through the posters like he’s going for broke and won’t be playing it safe here. Overall the movie continues to excite and if it succeeds in the box office will be a testament to Kim Soo Hyun’s unassailable Hallyu star power.
