It’s a rarity for C-ent to miss this broadly across the board, with only a few standouts, but I guess percentage wise it’s impossible to always be on point even with fashion. At the 2017 Elle Style Awards which took place this weekend in China, I find C-actress Ni Ni‘s pink chiffon layered ball gown the most enchanting of the evening, from how she wears it to the modern feminine style of the look even with a very bubblegum color. This ceremony had much more black and white looks akin to a typical Korean awards ceremony, lacking the colorful and intricate patterns the C-stars have been experimenting with in recent years to great success. Other than Ni Ni it was top model Liu Wen who also wowed me less for her gown but a reminder of how incredibly eye catching a top model is when she shows up at an event.
There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…

Agreed. So few variants. It's black, white, beigh, brown or shades of red or blue.
For me, no standouts ar all.
Why does everyone look so casual almost. Everyone either looks terrible or eh.
I would not have guessed this to be an event for style awards without the title.... most of them look tired and totally out of it while donning underwhelming fashion choices. I think it was either a last minute invitation for the guests or everyone's stylists just had an off day at the same time LOL. Liu Wen is gorgeous as usual, and despite the monotonous colours, her gown is exquisitely detailed. I agree, as a top model, she's on point 24/7, even when she has a ridiculous schedule flying all the time.
Still a cut above the Korean stars, even though they're not putting on their best game for this.
They all look like they're following the theme so none really standout. All great styling though. Liu Wen is my favourite!
