Manner legs, or when a super tall entertainer stands in an open-legged stance to lower himself, is such a unique Korean thing. I don’t recall seeing tall stars in other entertainment industries doing the pose to adjust for height differentials in scenes or allow the make up artist to freshen things up on the set. I suppose the other industries just put the shorter person on stool? Whatever the case, the manner leg has become meme-generating and often gets its own featured write up articles whenever a star is spotted doing the manner leg at work. Check out a compilation of all the manner leg stances ranging from unintentionally sexy (Gong Yoo above) all the way to so uncomfortable I cringe (poor Kwang Soo). It would be awesome if these tall male celebrities were ever spotted doing the manner leg to accommodate a diminutive significant other. That would be super awwww cute.

And the below three outlying manner legs show that sometimes the perfectly even near split stance just doesn’t cut it LOL.

This is the best article I ever read, ever, I any site ever :)::):)
Actually not so original article. There are similiar articles with similiar pics on other websites. Written years ago.
LOL best article EVER HAHAHAHA
LMAO!! This is an extremely interesting observation. If no one mentioned it, would have never realized.
i didn't know this was a thing and suddenly my life is complete
hahahahaha. Had no idea about this. i always thought the shorter actress was placed on a stool or higher platform when the tall actor n she do close scenes. But to act with the legs sooo apart. Really what the.!!!!!
They should get stools.
Can you imagine attempting to delivery an intense emotional or romantic scene with manner legs? How do you keep the mood?
Exactly. This is very weird and surprisingly all K male actors seem to be Ok with this..?..
Well. Legs are more adjustable than stools.
Most of the close dialogues are pretty static. Stools, platforms will work. These legs apart thingy is....who even came up with this idea in the first place?
@A I'm talking about how to achieve ideal view/position in the first place. Imagine if they need a 1.4ft stool but only have 1ft stool around. They would need additional properties that may not always be conveniently around, and still might not be able to achieve the ideal height. With legs it's easier, just spread them a little less or a little more.
@Vee - please try standing that way before you say it is easier to spread your legs apart to adjust the height a little more... this resembles limbo dancing to me, very uncomfortable and may fall easily rather... let's see how low you can get down... hahaha...
oh... and no bending of the knees... LOL...
@candycane well. Still easier than to use something that isn't there. These guys seem to have strong legs, and they only need to stay in this position for a short time. Can take a break anytime they want to.
@Vee - you make it sound like the Koreans are the only people who don't have stools in their country ?. I can lend you a two-step stool anytime you need one ?? I have two in my house.... LOL.....
I watched it a lot of times in BTS of drama or shooting. I think it's very cute :D
I think this is by far my favorite post you've written. It's hilarious!
The actor with black tux, is he Seo Ha Jun? How about the one with pink hair, who is he?
The one with pink hair is Baro of B1A4.
I think the pink hair guy is Thunder, Sandara Park's brother.
LMAO, I agree best article ever. Poor Kwang Soo, I laught extra for him.
