  • I wonder how actors survived without any project for years.. Its like working for active income is more like a choice than a necessity.

    • I wonder too. The A-listers like Song Hye Kyo definitely has endorsement deals to net income from even a when there is no project in the pipeline. But how about the rest? I guess maybe they have other business ventures like clothing lines, eatieries or property investment.

    • Yes..it must be difficult. Also the staying mentally on top as your always underemployed regardless of the money.Working full time in a job is good for self esteem and and allows you to feel you are making a wothwhile contribution. I Think actors ultimately want to a full days work lke anyone else so they can be seen as working full time and the same as any other worker.?

  • Many celebs have their side businesses. They're pretty smart about bc they know their career don't last long. Yoon Eun Hye have her own cafe so I'm sure she can keep herself busy. Many people like Big Bang boys, S7ven, Jaejoong, Junsu ventured have their own restaurants, hotels, or many other investments.

  • From the royalties of their past work? Maybe they have a secret husband or lover, in the industry or not, that are supporting them, and do not want them to work for now ?
Maybe she will comeback in the dramaland in 1 or 2 years with one of the “kids” that are doing the MS now! Lol

  • She owns an upscale Coffee Shop/Bakery in Gangnam and also one in Thailand. She also owns a bunch of real estate, some sold and some rents out. She's pretty thrifty as well...in one testimony she admitted that she made over 60 million just off doing CF's alone for a year, so I'm pretty sure she's surviving just fine and doesn't even have to return to acting until she feels like it.

*this is m 3rd time hitting the post button. I can't seem to post.

    • Yes looking at her inside apartment no fancy furnitures and doesnt look high end at all. Just simple zen looking house without anything. Modest woman

  • Miss her. Maybe she is not as rich as other celebrities because she donates a lot. But that's what makes she beautiful.

  • It's already been known among her loyal fans that she's very caring to young kids. It's showed on her recent interviews of how concerned she's about their future. Teaching young kids arts (thesedays) is one of her duties in church activities as part of the responsibility. So her involvement in this event isn't surprising for her fans.
It seems she's content in doing what she loves the most despite it makes her isn't really visible on screen anymore.

  • And it shows that she's still interested in the drama/ movie field. A few years ago , pd Luc Besson organized kind of similar thing to find new talents throught short movies made with smartphones. YEH is always curious about all that can spread culture. She's really a pasionate person.

    • I think she's interested to work behind the camera more than in front of the camera (acting). It's showed on her choice of movie production (director) rather than theater/acting department for her post graduate study. Most actors prefers to study the latter.

  • I think YEH is the true definition of YOLO (you only live once).
She does not succumb to haters and is doing whatever she wants.
    Good luck!

  • She appears to have made a decision to run her own life. It is hard for a woman to do, especially in a male dominated culture. She has taken a lot of negative hits from so called fans, she stayed strong. She is so fricken talented, in so many artist arenas, no one will ever take that away from her. These agencies have way to much control over the fans and their actors, who by the way puts gas in that snazzy car they drive. These managers and agency heirarchy seem to have forgotten this?
