The male leads are coming together first for upcoming thriller K-drama Sketch, and it’s funny that both had their biggest hit K-dramas the same year in 2004 and my favorite K-drama roles of theirs were in the same drama! Lee Dong Gun is confirmed as the second male lead opposite Rain for Sketch, scheduled to air in late spring/early summer 2018 and is about the fates and romantic entanglements of the characters who work to change their destinies.
The 2003 K-drama Sang Doo, Let’s Go to School is one of my all-time faves and both Rain and Lee Dong Gun had well-written male lead roles in the drama. The coincidental 2004 connection between Rain and Lee Dong Gun were both hitting K-drama ratings gold so long ago and so early in their careers, Rain with Full House and Lee Dong Gun with Lovers in Paris. I’ll all for this doubling up of popular K-drama leading men from the mid-2000s so please make it worthwhile to watch with a non-crappy script. If Gong Hyo Jin is the female lead for Sketch then my drama watching life will fell complete.
