Lee Bo Young and Child Actress Heo Yul Represent Mother Nominated for Cannes Best International Series Award

South Korea sent some of its finest to France for the 2018 Cannes International Series. The tvN drama Mother (Call Me Mother) was nominated along with other international television shows for Best International Series. Mother is the only Asian nominee in the category of ten so this is a high honor indeed. The production team along with leads Lee Bo Young who played the titular teacher/mother and debut child actress Heo Yul jetted off to Cannes to attend the festival. They look so adorable and I love Heo Yul’s perfect pink hanbok to show off her heritage pride. Whether Mother takes home a win or not this is quite a proud achievement already.

  • she has to be one of the most graceful and dignified among the actresses in 30’s. Her acting in mother is praiseworthy alonwith this child actress.

  • That child actress beats out anyone in her category for the coming awards presentation......maybe even some of those not in her category! Lol

  • I wish secret forest or misty which is original script from K-writers. But mother is a solid drama. Chukae.

The child actress is really pretty in hanbok.
