KBS has the rare prime time hit on its hands after years after bringing up the rear, the Wed-Thurs night family drama Liver or Die (What’s Wrong Poong Sang) broke 20% AGB nationwide ratings this past Thursday becoming the first big three network prime time drama to do so. Recently concluding SBS Wed-Thurs drama An Empress’s Dignity got buzz for getting close but the closest it got was 16.1% AGB nationwide so Liver is really got legs and also an added boost this week with SBS have a one week break and premiering Big Issue next week. Liver has a bit of Sky Castle vibe since it started with 5.9% and has since only increased in ratings. The drama stars Yoo Joon Sang as the eldest brother managing his brood of four younger siblings played by Oh Ji Ho, Jeon Hye Bin, Lee Shi Young, and Lee Chang Yeob, I’m actually interested now thanks to the good word-of-mouth.

I’m started to watch this and it’s okay so far so good so glad that they’re scoring well ratings wise. Poong Sang is such a big softie and walkover and my favourite character is Lee SiYoung but I’m biased as I only started the drama because of her. Oh Ji Ho is the resident doofus so yep enjoying this. Well done team ❤️

First got my attention becoz the maknae’s love story, lee chang yeop, but slowly after i watched unintentionally the other character’s life story...it hooked me up too ??
Prepare ur tissues ladies
This drama reminds me of Japanese dramas from the 90's, the kind that makes you laugh and cry at the same time. Poong Sang makes me want to cry and I have only watched the first episode. I totally get why this show is doing so well domestically. People like relatable stories and characters. Acting and writing are what sells a drama these day. Visuals and popularity are only secondary. I would choose this type of drama over fluffy rom coms with pretty leads any day.
