For a drama packed with big leads the upcoming OCN procedural Watcher feels remarkably low key. Veteran leading man Han Suk Kyu makes his drama return opposite Kim Hyun Joo and the always hustling Seo Kang Joon. The two men are cops in the internal affairs investigation unit of the police force and further team up with Kim Hyun Joo’s prosecutor turned civil lawyer in investigating police corruption. I already can feel the tension between leads Han Suk Kyu and Kim Hyun Joo in the first stills released above, and Seo Kang Joon seems like the perfect third foil as the young scrappy one to round out this trio battling the forces from within. The drama is from the PD of Memories of Alhambra and Secret Forest (Stranger) with the script from the writer of The Good Wife and Spy and will air in the Sat-Sun time slot after Voice 3.
There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…

Han Suk Kyu is such a good looking man!
Kim Hyun hoo: it’s so good and look forward to watching your drama! Your acting talent is superb!
Typo error! I meant Kim Hyun Joo. You’re a superb actor!
I'm hoping it was the strong script that made Han Suk Kyu take this role and on top of that we have Kim Hyun Joo and Seo Kang Joon who has proven his acting chops, ah I can't wait!!!!
Also I have to say I LOVEE Han Suk Kyu's deep, rich skintone, it's unsurprisingly such a rare sight to see lead actors sporting naturally tan skin in kdramas
Yess. it's pretty low key, but maybe it's because it's from OCN and they are just start filming this late May- early Jun. . I was wondering might be it's because this drama will be short aka not 16 episode drama. Save me 2 and voice 3 is also pretty much low key in terms of promotion.
I think it is a regular 16 episode drama but OCN is usually low key with promotions.
