I’m having a hard time thinking of another K-drama actress with as many romance dramas under belt as Park Min Young AND has also delivered performances that generated strong chemistry with her male lead(s). In some dramas she even sparks with the male lead and second male lead alike! Her hit rate is just too high to be a coincidence and her most recent drama Her Private Life with Kim Jae Wook sizzled even as the story fizzled, it’s one of those sweetly bland dramas that will always be a reliable rewatch for me. I think her most notable other male costars include second male lead Yoo Ah In in Sungkyunkwan Scandal, Lee Min Ho in City Hunter, Ji Chang Wook in Healer, and Park Seo Joon in Why Secretary Kim. Take a look at the full photo array below and chime in on which Park Min Young pairing was your fave/best.

Sungkyunkwan Scandal's Moon Jae Shin shoud have been the male lead! His character was so good and more interesting. And Yoo Ah In was so much better as an actor than Yoo Chun. It was very frustrating.
Park Min Young always had great chemistry with her co-stars. My favourite drama of hers is Healer! It was really great.
Why has Lee Jun Ki in the mix? She had never done a drama with him.
I love her partnership with Kim Jae Wook.. great chemistry! ?
Healer! Followed closely by Her Private Life.
Healer and Her Private Life!!!
Sunkyunkwan Scandal is an old time favorite of mine as it introduced the actress to me and her talents. I liked her a lot in Healer and Secretary Kim. I have yet to watch her Private Life. Its time she does a romance drama with just her and Yoo Ah In who is very talented.
I shipped her and JCW so much after watching Healer... till I watch 7DQ.
I admit she is one actress with lots of chemistry with almost all her costars. But in many of them, such as Secretary Kim and HPL, there were lots and lots of physical intimacy. The chemistry with YWJ in 7DQ is just so different & unique. It’s explosive without much physical intimacy or kisses...
I agreee. I read the entire list thinking she'll mention Yeo Jin Woo but I guess not many people have seen the exceptional Seven Day Queen. She had two suitors in that role too but she just had an amazing chemistry with YJW that topped any other. I guess part of it was because her character and love story was very strong too. It was heartbreaking but I have never seen a kdrama couple put this much trust in each other. I never ship actors in real life but at that time I really wanted her to marry YJW. Plus I have seen almost every PMY drama because she is very likeable in her roles and clearly SDQ chemistry with YJW wins.
In 7SQ, the children actor did amazing too. But I agree YWJ and PMY was a great couple.
PMY and LJK in My Ear Candy is already like a short but sweet drama for me. I’m still hoping they can work together again.
Yes, she’s also great with second leads - aside from YAI, she had some chemistry with SJK too. I also like her chemistry with Lee Dong Gun (before he got too crazy anyway) in Q7D. I won’t mind her pairing with him as the lead.
The least I like is her with SSH.
Yeah!!! Thanks for this recognition for my girl crush PMY!!! She really made her co-star stand out. How can each of them look good with her even during phone call ( My ear's Candy LJK)? I really hope she can act with KJW or PSJ again for melodrama/historical drama
I just discovered PMY recently on Netflix. Seems like she's one of the most popular K-drama actresses internationally as three of her dramas are on the streaming site - Healer, Remember and Why Secretary Kim. I love her the best with Ji Chang Wook in Healer where one particular sizzling episode generated thousand of comments in a drama review blog. She's now my favourite K-actress. There is a totally refreshing aspect in her personality. She gives me the vibes of a genuine, kind, sincere person who can be my best friend or trusted co-worker. No a hint of selfishness when it comes sharing the screen with her co-stars.
