The Push and Pull Continues with the OTP in Episode 7 of Before We Get Married While Supporting Leads Remain Refreshingly Direct and Sane

If the leads of Before We Get Married don’t get together soon imma not going to throw a table, I’ll just switch all my attention to best friend Ke Fei and best little sister Zi Ting. I can handle the conflicting emotions of Wei Wei and no I don’t want her to end an engagement and toss her boyfriend of three years aside for the hottest most frustrating man she’s ever met. That would be impetuous and I want her to make an informed choice. But it’s frustrating that she refuses to fully introspect and make a decision, though she did take more responsibility in this episode 7 to try and end her whatever with Ke Huan.

But right now the drama is making fiancee 321 into a workaholic and hurting Wei Wei, giving her an easier out, when really she needs to decide if spending the rest of her life with him after having met Ke Huan could keep her happy. I do love Ke Huan’s clean and cleaner break with clingy money sponge Zi Yuan, him cutting up her credit cards was an YESSSS moment for me. Also YESSS moments were sister Zi Ting telling Zi Yuan to do something with her life and maybe there is a sliver for her to get Ke Huan interested in her again. Preach girl, can you be in every drama just doling out the smart advice.

Ke Fei and Zi Ting are the best! Independant women who know what they want, who don't lie to themself, who protect what is important to them even if it means to be straightfoward.

Wei Wei is kinda tiring. She can't see, if she doesn't choose Ke Huan, she doesn't have to chose her fiancee neither. She's not happy anymore. She always looks bored with her fiancee and she passes more time with her friend than him...

  I feel like the writers (or Puff as an actress) aren’t showing enough of her attraction to either guy. So it’s a mystery whether she every truly loved 321, and it’s not super clear that she’s being swayed by KH.
  
  I hope Wei Wei dumps 321 soon, with an “I choose me” speech. Her boyfriend is so bland and sanctimonious. I want to play a drinking game with how often he says the word plan- but my liver can’t take it.
  
  Hoping for some forward progression because episodes 6 & 7 were just spinning their wheels. Except for the scene where KH cut up the credit cards. That had me squeezing and fist pumping. About darn time.

I find Wei Wei tiring too, as a 2019 woman.
IF she thinks she was manipulated by 321 into his 'plans', then hey ... she's also being strong-armed and yanked around by Ke-huan.

And hey her 'woe is me' with a cold, and a bf who is working hard in a new job (that's totally understandable actually) and kidna neglecting her ... is NOT mature justification to break up a longtime stable relationship.

I haven't seen the drama but based from these photos, Puff Kou's eyes look so dead. She looked like she has improved in Bloody Romance but I guess she's still the same, acting-wise. Still, will watch this for Jasper Liu once its completed.
