It will be a familiar face that joins K-actor Namgong Min in his upcoming feel good sports drama Stove League. His costar Park Eun Bin in the 2013 sageuk Hur Jun, the Original Story has been confirmed for Stove League, giving them a chance to be first leads together and hopefully have a cute romance alongside the sports rah-rah uplifting moments about a bottom rung team getting a second chance to succeed. The drama is from the PD of Suspicious Partner and Fates & Furies with a new screenwriter penning the script. The drama is slated for November after Vagabond.

Outside of Age of Youth she is an extremely mediocre actor. I was wondering why her career never took off but her acting is very limited. She can only do that one character properly and nothing else. Downgrade for Nam Goongmin but i the plot stays focused on him it'll be enough.
It's 2023 and quite pointless in commenting but I really wonder which dramas of hers you've watched for you to say this lol

I'm so excited for this drama. I haven't watched a kdrama focused on sports but it's a great change. Honestly despite my love for NGM I couldn't will myself to pick up his several previous works because I'm so burned out when it comes to messy romcoms, doctors, or lawyer dramas/corruption.
I'm kind of reminded of Nino's baseball jdrama and I can totally see NGM playing a similar kind of cynical character but his role has been described differently so far so I'm expecting another quirky character. That'd totally fit him and might fit the team as well.
I do hope if there's romance it plays a very little part and not focused on it.
