The first OTP-centric poster is out for KBS drama When the Camellia Blooms and it’s daring and sweet. Leads Gong Hyo Jin and Kang Ha Neul are shown from behind as they sit on steps talking happily to each other, with the port in the distance beyond their neighborhood. She runs a homely restaurant/bar, he’s the local police officer, and theirs is a tale of his love at first sight and her shying away from getting involved. Kang Ha Neul seems perfectly cast as the earnest dorky cop and the way he “courts” Gong Hyo Jin combines utter devotion and bumbling effort. She’s not playing hard to get, more like comes with baggage in the form of a young son who I totally recognized as playing the younger Yeo Jin Gu in Hotel Del Luna recently. The drama looks quite lovely and sweet, as I expected when I heard Gong Hyo Jin signed on as she’s a really smart drama picker.
