There’s a whole lotta camaraderie and cheer at the press conference for When the Camellia Blooms, a great sign for sure and definitely makes for a bright vibe. The three leads Gong Hyo Jin, Kang Ha Neul, and Kim Ji Suk were on hand to pose for pictures and answer press questions, goofing off comfortably with each other in contrast to the love triangle to come in the drama. It’s billed as a human drama, a healing romance set in a slice-of-life neighborhood where Gong Hyo Jin is a single mom running a bar restaurant and Kang Ha Neul the doting dogged cop who falls for her. It sounds like the exact type of drama Gong Hyo Jin would pick and I’ve loved everything she’s done drama-wise so I’m super looking forward to this!
This year 2024 has been a slow year for K-actress Suzy in terms of her…
There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…
Well this is an interesting pairing, setting aside the age difference at least I can…
I swear I just wrote about Song Joong Ki having his first baby and then…
At the end of the day, the core of any good drama remains the Story,…
If I didn't know this drama was a romance set in space and done K-drama…

Just watched first episode and I am hooked loved it.
Kim Ji Suk!!! I always watch his dramas
Hooray- gong hyo jin! She’s super good ! And she makes her co-star shine !
I love her acting and her chemistry with everyone!
I watched ep 1, kang haneul acting is super but the plot is boring. I think I will pass.
Not really feeling the 1st ep but I'll continue for a couple more. I love GHJ but I feel like her drama characters are starting to mesh together. I hope she comes back with a melo or thriller or any other genre after this.
Gong Hyo-jin does more diverse roles in the big screen though. She starred in 2 thrillers, "Door Lock" and "Missing" wherein she plays the villain. "Single Rider" is a not a melo, but it's a serious drama film where Gong Hyo-jin plays a wife who cares for her son alone in Australia for his studies while her husband earns their livelihood back in Korea. She is supposedly in an affair with her nextdoor neighbor.
GHJ does not diversify her characters at all but she somehow makes every single character likeable which many actresses are unable to do. Something about her makes me keep rooting for her despite never finding her characters appealing.
I loved episode 1, it's so quirky from the beating the thief up with a lunchbox to the neighbourhood ? The acting is 10/10, thos drama has a great cast.
Hope it does well!
