With Arthdal Chronicles finished, there’s only two sageuks left for 2019 and only one that is more similar in sweeping scope. jTBC has been nicely promoting My Country with stylish posters and character teasers, and through it all male lead Yang Se Jong always looks totally wrecked like a hero strung through a ringer. Second male lead Woo Do Hwan looks more regal like a noble warrior scholar but of course he’s gonna turn into the baddie who crosses swords with former bestie Yang Se Jong. Caught in the middle is Seolhyun brimming with national dreams and political hopes, not to mention she’s so gorgeous in her sageuk garb the two guys probably fell for her on sight. These latest set of character stills for the three leads are just so easy on the eyes, I’m relieved to have a sageuk deliver on the pretty along with the intensity.

Seolhyun is gorgeous. No wonder cf comapnies run for her even though she isnt from big 3 company . I hope she has improved and this drama turns out to be turning point for her acting career. So far drama looks good!

She is always so gorgeous and been girl crushing on her since forever.
I am still skeptical in her acting, but she was not as cringey as I expected her to be in her last acting project, The Great battle.
Here is to hoping, praying and wishing that she has improved enough in this drama.

I will give this try for yang sejong, not his fan actually, I still not fallin love with his acting yet. But I like how he kept accepting difficult role.

Seolhyun can’t go wrong with both male leads falling in love with her. Either way she’ll be winning regardless how it goes. It will be her portrayal of her character and acting that will make or break her reputation in this drama. I’ll laugh if there is a love line with Jang Hyuk written in there as well. My bias for this drama is WDH followed by JH.
