Hyun Bin Keeps Son Ye Jin Safe in North Korea in New Preview for tvN Drama Crash Landing on You

If I accidentally landed in North Korea I would be a worried about getting fed to pigs or ending up in a labor camp. But in upcoming tvN romance Crash Landing on You the worst thing that happens to Son Ye Jin is that the hottiest NK solder ever keeps her safe and worries about her. Oh poor her, lol. I feel like Hyun Bin has this switch that he turns on when he knows his dialogue is cheesy beyond belief but he delivers it so convincingly and seriously we’re all just putty in his hands. The latest preview shows us Son Ye Jin in North Korea and under Binnie’s watch and he’s got his lands full keeping her from falling into the hands of the government before he gets her across the border again. Of course true love will triumph over all, politics just becomes the obstacle for which love blossoms under adversity.

It looks promising. I like the idea of SYJ's fashionable chaebol character gets a bit of dirt and suffering upon landing in NK. She reminds me of Seo In Guk's adorable chaebol Louis in becoming a homeless man sleeping on the streets with dirty face, greasy hair, wearing a cheap knock off jacket and slippers. It remains to be seen whether Son Ye Jin has got the comedy chops to pull off the laughs and yet at the same time get the audience to empathise and fall in love with her character. As for Binnie, I hope he gets the chance to show different shades of his acting range.
