While K-ent had a dating confirmation, J-ent went a different direction with the first big star news of 2020. Top selling solo idol singer Ayumi Hamasaki posted a personal note on her official fan site first wishing her fans a happy new year and then revealing that she’s actually a mom! The 41-year old songstress shared that she had a baby boy towards the end of last year 2019. She’s trying to balance work and newborn mom life and that’s quite a double duty for this very busy hardworking star. She is twice married and twice divorced and did not reveal the father of her son, but sources are saying it’s a much younger man and the couple currently has no plans to marry. Congrats to Ayu!

Finally a baby. Congrats, no need too marry, you are, more than capable to be a single mom.
The wow factor in these news is that she spent 2018 touring like crazy. She managed to tour while heavily pregnant with no one suspecting anything. Then she just popped a baby and went right back to touring. Crazy.
Which is actually very sad for the baby boy and not something to admire.
Or she has someone close to each over her child. Let's not mommy shame her. At least she is working and making money. The mother doesn't have to be with the child 24/7, especially when there is a trusted relative to watch the child.
Still admirable because she proved her professionalism by finishing her tour. Not everyone has the liberty to just stop work. Announcing that she has a child now means that she'll be idling from here onwards and her fans would be more understading to that.
Congratulations to Ayumi. Glad she has a child all her own. She still looks so good. Have not heard her newer songs, but way back when I really like her songs.
Being a single mom is scary but Ayu can do it. I'm sure she'll make a great mother.
