It’s been a slow and rather uncertain return for the cinematic world the entire globe over. COVID_19 shut theaters in March and it’s only starting to re-open up in parts of the world. South Korean movie theaters have been open for a few weeks but this week’s premiere of zombie thriller #Alive feels like the first time the industry came back alive. In 5 days the movie has surpassed 1 million tickets sold, a solid milestone and the first time SK had a hit movie since theaters closed in March and prior to that it was The Man Standing Next in February. Film stars Park Shin Hye and Yoo Ah In have been doing the rounds promoting the movie and being as charming and adorable as they can be so really proud and happy for their joint success.

Congrats! Hope they work together in a drama next time; movie is too short.
1-mio admission is far from a hi. it needs to hit atleast 2.5-3 mio admission to avoid the flop tag and enter average territory and if it is r-rated 2-admission is needed
Oh wow poor you, certified hater. Be thankful Psh is contributing to world's economy!
This is a low-budget movie with BEP only 1.5 million, AND this 1 million milestone happened during COVID-19 pandemic when Korean cinemas have to shut down most of the theaters, AND this is the first film to surpass 1 million movie-goers since February 2020. Learn your math and STUF.
This lady doesn't know how to loss??she is bringing it on The kmovieland also.from what l have heard there is no stellar fast for this movie except PSH & YAI.and also it is low budget movie.so proud of them.hope it will continue.congrats to alive crew also they worked also.i hope this duo will again work in A drama.A movie is enough for their undeniable chemistry??
Ahh this typing error?? imean a movie is not enough for their chemistry
what am i READING. This is what I call misreporting. 1-mio admission is not a hit anywhere in South Korea. I have been following chungmuro for sometime this is laughable lauding 1mio admission as hit regardless of the current condition
But the articles are saying otherwise.l have seen many articles saying it is a hit including soompi.1M is not hit for movie generally.but here the case is different.getting 1M during this pendemic is risky.
Hmm! They are not doing the same thing in hollywood and if the movie doesn't break even it will still flop regardless of what is said in even SK
Oh wow poor you, certified hater. 1M plus viewers is no joke in pandemic times! Tkem even in home viewing didn't draw that rating & revenue. Shame on you.
Hahaha, you're a darn poor loser baby! 1M plus views certified by Korean Theater polls & in Lotte Theater at that! Tkem rated only 5-6% even if its just home viewing. No real revenue there for Koreans.
Congratulations to Park Shin Hye and Yoo Ah In and the whole crew! Proud of them, and mostly Shin Hye for dare to venture , and prove one more time that she is up to continue to challenge herself as an actress. Hope she would stick in the movie land, and go for NetFlex originals! ??❤️
Congratulations..1 million hits in 5 days is a good record ..I think it will go higher.. Movie buffs who were deprived of going to the cinemas due to Covid are surely flocking the theatres. But this movie deserves it given that it is a sequel to the runaway hit Train to Busan ,so the numbers are not surprising.
This has nothing to do with Train to Busan. Its sequel is Peninsula.
Hope people r taking precautions. Bcoz going to theatre when they had itaewon scandal few weeks back doesnt look safe at all.
According to the Korean Film Council, it has surpassed 1.1 Million Admissions, but it has made around $7.8 Million.
And it’s only been 5 days. So let’s see how it does in the coming weeks, if it stays in theaters that long.
Congratulation to talented YAI and PSH. He slay in every role he takes. Can't wait to see this because I love Trains To Busan so much and Gong Yoo, Jung Yumi, and MDS.
I want to know if it's good or not,
congrats for the opening, it seems like movies can still gain audience around this time.
