Okay, this is so not fair to one female lead and tips the romance pre-release in favor of the other just by casting alone, lol. K-actor Park Jin Young is considering the male lead role in the female-centric best friends for live K-movie remake of the hit C-movie Soulmate (Qi Yue Yu An Sheng). The female leads are Kim Da Mi and Jeon So Ni and if he accepts it’ll be a reunion with Jeon So Ni from playing the college age OTP of the main leads in weekend drama When My Love Blooms. I didn’t like the drama very much but did watch every weekend til nearly the end when I had to admit the story and central romance didn’t make me root for anyone in particular. Kinda felt like it was crafted by checking the boxes rather than an organic story needing to be told. Conversely Soulmate is an exquisite and amazing movie about two very strong young woman so I’m looking forward to the K-remake especially with a few years having passed so the remake won’t be immediately compared with the original.

i hope he choose a different movie/drama.
I wish he would work with kim so hyun eventually. They would make a great pair both in visuals and acting.
Personaly, I'm not a big fan of him. He's not a bad actor but he looks like a teenager and doesn't have a lot of charisma. So even if his role won't be important, I don't think he's a good choice.
Love him park jin young fighting. Got7 fighting all the way.
I love him since I watched That psychometric guy, he's very sweet. It's nice to see that he's getting offers, I can't wait to watch his next project :D
I just watched Soul Mate yesterday, and this remake already sounds like a hard pass. The male "lead" in the movie was little more than a cipher, a MacGuffin for the interactions of the two REAL leads, and it was their joint performance that elevated the film. If the buzz on this remake is about the "romance" between the male lead and one or other of the two female leads, it's already a VERY different film, and vastly less interesting. I watched Soul Mate because I already knew that Ms Ma and Ms Zhou are fine actors, I don't know either of these women's work, but I fear for them that this remake sounds ominously UNlike the wonderfully female-centric, female-driven original. It seems highly unlikely that it would result in the equivalent of the justly-earned joint Golden Horse win for the two female leads.
I watched Soulmate many times beacause of Kim Da Mi, I'm so proud of this young lady, hoping to see much more projects in the future, She is versatile actress, cute, with strong personality..keep being you Kim Da Mi...from ur fan all the way from Philippines ??
