Posters and Stills for The Spies Who Loved Me Feels Like a Retread of Past Eric, Yoo In Na, and Im Joo Hwan Dramas

You watch K-dramas long enough, and blog about it long enough, then inevitably it’s like deja vu happening right before your eyes in slow motion. More posters and stills are out for MBC spy thriller romance The Spies Who Loved Me with Eric, Yoo In Na, and Im Joo Hwan. The leads are nicely selected to match well visually, age-bracket, and vibe, but goodness have each been through this second chance at love exact ringer before. Spies feels like elements of the leads past dramas mushed together. Eric and Yoo In Na are former marrieds and obviously cross paths again in the drama and rekindle unresolved feelings. Eric did that in Discovery of Love with Jung Yumi though she didn’t marry and divorce Eric merely broke up with him the first time, and Yoo In Na did it exactly the same in My Secret Hotel where she and her ex-husband Jin Yi Han got a second chance after misunderstanding ended their first marriage. As for Im Joo Hwan, he’s Yoo In Na’s current husband in this drama but is clearly set up to be the “never him” option though he did get the girl and still he may lose her again. Lol, oh my poor Joo Hwan.
