Song Kang, Lee Jin Wook, Lee Shi Young, and Lee Do Hyun Battle Monsters in Dark Netflix Drama Sweet Home

Right before Christmas might not be the best time for a drama about end of days and battling monsters but hey call it counterprogramming. Netflix will drop Sweet Home on December 18th, adapted from the same name webtoon and coming with high artistic expectations. It’s from the PD of Goblin and Descendants of the Sun working with a writing team with oversight from the webtoon authors. Starring Song Kang, Lee Jin Wook, Lee Do Hyun as characters from the webtoon with female lead Lee Shi Young as a new character added for the drama. It’s about an orphaned high school boy who moves into an apartment complex and finds a dark force turning humans into monsters and he teams up with the residents to fight back. Sounds like a cross between Bird Box and darkness of Other People’s Hell. The teaser preview is excellent, like a video game but with actual human stakes.
