Sat-Sun K-drama Queen Cheorin (Mr. Queen) has settled into its rhythm and is exactly what South Korean viewers are looking for, with each episode ratings increasing and the most recent episode 4 breaking double digits with 10.447%. It’s feels like deja vu as tvN‘s last major hit in this same time slot Crash Landing on You premiered a year ago in mid-December. I’m content to enjoy the antics of the modern man in a historical queen body for the time being, and watching the king pretend to be a sleazy imbecile in public while plotting in private. But it’s not clear what the end game will be, will the K-drama actually build up a romance between two men’s souls as a true BL drama or will it merely flirt with those insinuations, or neither and have these two join forces to thwart the baddies power grubbing plots. I actually like the real queen So Young, her flashbacks are lovely seeing as she has feelings and was trapped herself, and the consort so needs major face slapping for her holier than thou bitchiness.
This year 2024 has been a slow year for K-actress Suzy in terms of her…
There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…
Well this is an interesting pairing, setting aside the age difference at least I can…
I swear I just wrote about Song Joong Ki having his first baby and then…
At the end of the day, the core of any good drama remains the Story,…
If I didn't know this drama was a romance set in space and done K-drama…

Well done, Queen Cheorin!

Funny. These two comments appear but my initial comment about the article isn't displaying. Koala, why is it so hard to post comments on here sometimes? How come it will only display like waaaaaaay later on?
Whoa! Congrats, Mr. Queen! It took CLOY eight episodes to break double digits though. And a huge AMEN to “the consort so needs major face slapping for her holier than thou bitchiness.“
I too wonder which direction the show's gonna go but I'm content to hop along for the ride. Congrats again!
PS. Uncanny Counter reached 9% in EP8. At this rate, it could also hit double digits soon!
Shin Hye Sun has chemistry with all 3 men...like with the Joseon adopted cousin, Choi Jin Hyuk and Kim Jung Hyun...its intense with Kim Jung Hyun.
I’m hoping this end up going the BL route, I have a soft spot for them haha
The first scene in Ep 4 is definitely the best. The leads,Kim Jung Hyun and Shin Hye Sun are both crazy good in acting. Their chemistry is solid. I don't care it is BL or not. I'm just happy to see the romance between our lead couple, whether the Queen is the chef or So Young.
They should focus on more on the relationship between the Queen and King. I'm feeling that the real Queen, So Young will be back to her own body, that way it will not go BL route (SK would not allow BL).
I'm so sicked of love square or love triangle. I just want to see romance or BL between our leads.
SHS is awesome here, can't get enough of her fantastic comedic timing. I liked her previous works but I am a fan now because of this drama. The 2 leads (3 if I include the male voice over) have great acting chemistry. I'm definitely hooked.

South Korea is conservative but recently they started making a lot of Bl dramas that are pretty good ! With Happy endings plus even kiss scenes :) most people are accepting it's just the older generations that are not accepting. So we don't know what to expect from the drama.. Maybe it will have a bl background
The Queen's Cousin is so weird to me. His behaviors are sometimes annoying.
This drama has double digits already in only 4 episodes. I'm so happy for the whole team, they deserved it. I don't remember last drama that made me laugh so much. Congratulations to our leads, Shin Hye Sun and Kim Jung Hyun! They are both doing a wonderful jobs.
I seriously want to ship the King and the Queen. Don't tell me my ship is sinking. SHS and KJH look so good together. Their acting styles and even visuals suit each other so much.
I hope they will still go the BL route just like in Go Princess Go. But I'm not sure in this version if Choi Jinyuk's character will fall in love with the king. He is too much of a man. At least the korean version is not as crazy as the chinese one. Go Princess Go has insane levels of craziness. lol
You're right. It's impossible for the chef to fall in love with the King. The chef is manly, he will be very angry at the King when the King gets closer. The King would only fall for her (the chef). We need the actual Queen back to see the romance between the King and Queen.
